Yoga sessions encompass
Breathing is the foundation of Yoga practice. Prana translates into “life force energy” and Yama translates into “control or mastery of.” Thus, Pranyama is used to control, cultivate, and modify the Prana in the body.
Depending on the class format these may be a Vinyassa flow sequence, or slower, longer held Yin postures. Options are provided for all levels, beginners and all ages welcome at all classes unless otherwise stated.
As we work through the process of breath and body work, the mind is focused and stilled. Shavasana at the end of the session is a time to be mindfully present in the moment and for body and mind to restore and de-stress.
Yoga will not change our lives, but can alter the way we live them, enabling a mindful sense of contentment and inner peace.
